What bucket list ideas do you have mom?

You deserve to dream and DREAM BIG!

All moms love to encourage their children to dream big and accomplish their goals. We should follow our own advice!

One of the excellent things you can do with a bullet journal is create a bucket list of ideas. This isn’t just a simple list of the short-term and long-term goals you want to achieve over your entire life-time, but really includes things you would like to accomplish THIS YEAR.

Don’t be afraid to include things that might seem almost impossible! It gives you something amazing to strive for.

PIN ME FOR LATER!

Mom do you have a bucket list of ideas of things to do before your life is finished? What about a bucket list of ideas for the next year to accomplish? Learn more here about how to use your bullet journal to make your bucket list ideas actually happen!

Dedicate a Large Section of your Bullet Journal to your Bucket List Ideas

Bucket list ideas of things to do can get quite long and you will likely be adding to it for a while, so make sure you don’t just have it on a single page. It helps to dedicate several pages of your bullet journal to your bucket list goals, including front and back pages.

Think about how much you might want to actually do in your entire lifetime, and you can imagine how much room you will need. You can always add in more pages later, but saving them now helps to keep it better organized.

Work Slowly on your Bucket List Goals

Don’t feel like you need to create the entire list now. It is not like a to-do list where you need to know all the important tasks at one time. It should be slow and gradual, something you are consistently adding to as you think of things to accomplish this year, next year, and so on.

Today, just start the list!

It can be anything, big or small.

Create Different Categories for Your Bucket List

You can split up your bucket list in your bullet journal into different categories that represent different areas of your life.

For example, you can have a family section that includes a travel section with the different places you would like to see and visit, and then personal goals like a major fitness goal to be added to your personal section.

Look at Other Bucket Lists For Inspiration

Sometimes it is hard to think of what should go on your list, so it’s a great idea to look at other mom’s bucket list ideas. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It makes sense that moms may have similar goals and wishes.

Perhaps you are looking at another bucket list and while they want to someday go to the Grand Canyon, you have been there, but it sparks a new idea related to that.

Start With Something You Can Accomplish Soon

While the bucket list doesn’t have to include things within your reach, it gets it going and motivates you when you can have at least one thing you are able to accomplish soon. Pick one thing to work towards to accomplish in the next month if possible.

For example, if you have never asked another mom you would like to get to know better to have coffee, that is something that might seem scary, but definitely something you can do soon. Go ahead and add it!

Want to See My Bucket List?

I’ll share the first things I wrote in my bucket list of ideas to get you started:

  • Visit all 50 U.S. states
  • Go Zip Lining
  • Go to Australia
  • See the Northern Lights
  • Visit Paris

Those were the first 5 things I wrote down. Funny how all but one requires travel. I’ve had a desire to travel extensively for a long time but finances and four children haven’t allowed for it.

Time to get to work and pick one to set some smaller goals that will get me to the big goal.

We all need to put more emphasis on creating memories with our loved ones to last a lifetime. We only have one life to live and we should live it to the fullest.
